Painters progress

Quick intro to Ruth's painting page.....

Before the internet came along the library was the place to go to for ideas to satisfy the creative bug inside, and from my early teens a habit was developed of paying a quick visit when passing to check the shelves for any new resources. It was on one of these routine scans on the art and craft isle that a "hot of the press" book reignited my hope in what could be achieved through water colour. I was totally converted on the spot, and a new journey began!!!

12 months later after lots of trial and error, I had 12 paintings and was brave enough to join ranks with mum's photographic work and share a craft stall.

December 2012

A year later, and thanks to the much needed encouragment of friends, confidence has been built and the journey with water colour goes on.

The "Spare bedroom Studio" has under gone some modifications, and is now the "Saddle Studio".  Although possible, I didn't fancy the idea of towing the kitchen table on the trailer, so I have a teeny tiny camping table and a down sized set up.....

Probably far too much....
And below is the packed up version.
Weighing in at 2.2 kilos, ouch.......

A whole new life on 2 wheels, and a new way of painting too. Who knows how it will go?? Watch this space.....
